Facial Implants

Facial implants are an effective way to enhance the facial skeleton, supplement deficient fat and compensate for the progressive tissue atrophy of aging.

The most common implants for the face are those for the chin, the cheek, the tear trough deformity (the deep grooves beneath the eyes), the upper jaw deficiencies around the base of the nose (maxillary), the maxillary spine (which supplements the structural deficiency where nose meets upper lip), the sublabial sulcus (the deep groove beneath the lower lip), the angles of the jaws, the jaw rim depression just in front of the jowls, and many other areas requiring custom designed implants.

Pain is not a feature of implant surgery and rarely is associated with these operations. Scars are commonly concealed within the mouth, or elsewhere in a hard-to-find location.
